About

Another Latham Diary…

Down in Latham – Canberra’s most sedate suburb and 1970s design showcase – something stirs. Occasionally. When it does, I’ll let you know.

And the Hummadruz? A sonic phenomenon; a buzzing drone, perhaps heard on high ground on a still summer’s day. I think I’ve written several pieces like that. I’m a bagpipe owner, y’know… and a Stylophone collector.

    Hi Ian,

While desperately avoiding doing something useful, I was Googling Piggery Jokery and came upon your lovely “death and drone” photo from Towersey – it’s such a great image, we would like to use it, and will credit you.

Good to be reminded of Pyewackett’s music too, a favourite of ours in the 80s.

May meet at a festival over here, or if we ever make it to Australia!

    Season’s greetings,

    Su, The Droning Crone.
